Peter Seibert is a German architect and specialist in historic building restoration, holding a degree in architecture from the Technical University of Darmstadt. He trained as a building official in Munich and worked at the State Building Authority in Würzburg before joining the Bavarian Palace Administration.
Since 2014, he has served as Head of the Construction Department, overseeing the careful maintenance, conservation, and restoration of palaces, castles, and historic buildings, including the iconic Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, deep respect for historical authenticity, and practical problem-solving skills, he combines technical expertise with a passion for cultural heritage preservation.
He has actively contributed to PERSPECTIV, co-organizing meetings in Bayreuth and presenting complex restoration projects. As a board member of PERSPECTIV, he shares his knowledge of historic theatres, including the conservation of original materials, structural safety, and fire protection, supporting sustainable practices and fostering collaboration across Europe’s cultural heritage community.
