Cristina Valenti holds a degree in the History of the Italian Language from the University of Florence and a Master’s in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Venice.
Since 2001, she has served as Chief of the Culture and Tourism Division for the Municipality of Sabbioneta, and since 2005 as a staff member of the Mantua and Sabbioneta UNESCO World Heritage Office. Sabbioneta, celebrated for its extraordinary Renaissance urban planning, is also home to one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious theatres, the Teatro all’Antica.
A founding member and board member of PERSPECTIV – Association of Historic Theatres in Europe, Cristina Valenti coordinates the Northern Italian Route of Historic Theatres. Committed to the humanities and philology, she continues to pursue academic studies while maintaining a personal dedication to animal welfare and a vegetarian lifestyle.
